Working apps for iPhone

These apps are permanently in development. Every one of them carries on being worked on after it is released: features get added, screens get reworked, and the things people ask for get built. The app you take up today is not the app you will have in a year — it should be a larger one, and a subscription covers what arrives as well as what is there now. Screens may therefore look different in the version you download; the screenshots here are not always updated the moment something changes.

These are complete, working iPhone apps rather than mock-ups — every screenshot below is of the app itself, as it runs. Tap any of them to see the full set of screens and how it fits together.

Most of the apps have a subscription in two lengths, monthly and quarterly, and most give new subscribers an introductory offer: an introductory period at the start, before the first payment is taken. Prices, offers and how long the introductory period lasts are not listed here because they can change — check the App Store for the up-to-date details before you subscribe.

For walking in hills, not round a park. Every walk is broken down by gradient, because eight flat kilometres and eight up Scafell Pike are the same number and nothing alike.
